Eclipse (1990)

Weird Nightmare - Meditations On Mingus is a tribute album, with many guest artists, to the memory of Charles Mingus. On the trcak Eclipse Cohen reads the poem Chill of death with Mingus's music in the back/foreground. This strange and exacting album has been produced by Hal Willner. Columbia CK 52739.

Book of Longing (Philip Glass, 2007)

Book of Longing represents a collaboration between Leonard Cohen and Philip Glass, involving 22 poems by Cohen, some read by him, and others sung by members of the Philip Glass ensemble. Of the read poems, one, the prologue ("I can't make the hills") includes a somber accompaniment throughout, while most of the others are unaccompanied counterpoints to instrumental solos. This tribute is released through Judy's own independent record label Wildflower Records. Leonard Cohen recites the poem "Since You've asked (1:27).
